Fort Greene Council, Inc. (FGC) is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization established in Brooklyn, New York in 1973 and incorporated in 1974. The Council’s strives to provide services at several stages of the life cycle, at the beginning with our early childhood programs, and through the conclusion with our programs for the older adults.
In Brooklyn, FGC provides services to the elderly from 14 Older Adult Clubs in seven community districts, and one day care center. In 1990, we launched JAZZ 966 to promote jazz in the community for seniors and the public at large.
