Dr. Sam Pinn, Founder & Chairman
Dr. Sam Pinn is life long resident of Central Brooklyn. He is a co-founder and has been the Chairman of the Ft. Greene Senior Citizens Council Inc. since its inception in May 1973.
For the past eighteen years, he has also been the co-founder and executive producer of Jazz966, the Council's vibrant and highly successful jazz program.
Francesca Harewood
Francesca joined the Board in 2005 but she has been involved with Fort Greene Council for her entire life. Her mother, Grace Agard Harewood was the Council's first Executive Director for over thirty years.
Yvonne Bynum
Ms Bynum is so busy working to help the inc and to making the community at large a better place she hasn't had to time to provide us with her bio, but please note that she is a asset to this orginization. For the time being , you will just have to take our word for it.
James Thompson
James Thompson is a founding member of the Fort Greene Senior Citizen's Council.
James worked as a teacher and drug prevention-intervention specialist in the Fort Greene housing project for over 40 years. His career began when as a college student he joined the staff of the Willoughby House Child Care Center; he later went on to spend the last 20 years of his professional working life with the Board of Education (PS 67, PS44, PS 305, JHS265).
Sarah Sharperson
Former employee of the United States Postal Service. Widow, mother of one son.
Member of the Salvation Baptist Church. Bainbridge Street Community Resident in Bedford Stuyvesant.
Currently a volunteer at Fort Greene Senior Center.
T. Barrett Stanley
Mr. Stanley has extensive real estate and building construction experience. Barry was the New England regional architect for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company's Real Estate Investments Department. In that capacity he managed and monitored a wide variety of new construction projects as well as renovations to existing buildings. The aggregate value of the more than 30 projects managed and monitored exceeds $800 million.
Joseph Myrick
Joseph Myrick was born and raised in the Bedford Stuyvesant Community where he attended Elementary and Junior High Schools, latter college attendance at College Of New Rochelle • He remains a homeowner in the Crown heights community.
