Halloween at Young Minds Day CareĀ was an absolute treat! Our Young ScholarsĀ celebrated in style ā dressed as adorable little ghosts, superheroes, princesses, and pumpkins ā for a morning of intergenerational funĀ with the amazing staff and older adults of Fort Greene Council, Inc.Ā and the Grace Agard-Harewood Older Adult Club.
The smiles were contagious as our students went trick-or-treatingĀ through the building, collecting goodies and sharing giggles with our older adult members. Events like this remind us how special it is when generations come together ā learning, laughing, and spreading joy.
As we close out this spooky season, we also want to remind families and community members to keep safety top of mindĀ while enjoying Halloween festivities tonight! Here are a few quick tips for a safe and spooktacular Halloween:
š Stay Visible:Ā Choose costumes with reflective materials or add glow sticks and flashlights for evening adventures.
š¬ Check Treats Together:Ā Make sure all candy and snacks are sealed before enjoying them.
šø Walk Safely:Ā Always use sidewalks and crosswalks ā and hold hands with your little ones!
šøļø Dress Smart:Ā Pick costumes that fit well and donāt drag on the ground to avoid trips and falls.
š» Know Your Route:Ā Stick to familiar neighborhoods and visit well-lit homes.
