This past Friday, Fort Greene Council had the immense pleasure of joining our Maria Lawton Older Adult Club for its remarkable 74th Anniversary Celebration — a milestone that honors decades of resilience, friendship, and community spirit.
This year’s theme, royal blue and white, inspired a room full of elegance and excitement. Members arrived dressed to impress, ready to share joy, music, and memories with one another. From the lively atmosphere to the heartfelt conversations, the day was a true reflection of what makes Maria Lawton OAC such a cherished part of the Fort Greene Council family.
As we looked back on 74 years of service and community building, one thing was clear: the sense of connection among our members remains stronger than ever. The celebration captured the essence of our mission — to honor, support, and uplift older adults across Brooklyn.
We invite all adults 60 and over to experience the warmth and vibrancy of our programs.Membership is completely free, and we welcome you to become part of our growing family.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this anniversary unforgettable. Here’s to many more years of community, joy, and togetherness! 💙🤍
