Shining light on some of Brooklyn's slept on centers, we've highlighted the work of 3 older adult clubs which are bacons to the Brownsville & Downtown Brooklyn Section of New York. They are non other than:
Marcus Garvey Older Adult Club (1440 E N Y Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11212)
Willoughby Older Adult Club (105 N Portland Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205)
Hugh Gilroy Older Adult Club (447 Kingsborough 4th Walk # 1, Brooklyn, NY 11233)
This quarter's volume does not stop at what make these centers great but more so what make the people in the center so great that it radiates out of the center and into the community they serve.
We also divulge into the history of Juneteenth and how it celebrated by our neighboring nations historically. Plus more! We really hope you enjoy the stories and resources shared in this volume. We put our heart and soul into it.
