The Willoughby Older Adult Club in Downtown Brooklyn recently hosted a heartfelt Think Pink Tea Party, bringing together members, staff, and community supporters for a powerful afternoon dedicated to breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection.
Surrounded by pink decorations, warm conversations, and uplifting energy, members gathered to honor survivors, support those currently battling breast cancer, and remember loved ones affected by it. Events like these highlight the strength of our community and the deep care our older adults have for one another.
The tea party combined education and celebration — offering resources on screenings, sharing stories of resilience, and reinforcing how crucial regular check-ups are for maintaining health and catching cancer early.
