At Fort Greene Council, few traditions bring us as much joy and pride as Teresa Moore Day at the Teresa Moore Older Adult Club — and this year’s celebration was truly one to remember.
Each year, we gather to honor the life, legacy, and lasting impact of Ms. Teresa Moore, whose name graces the club and whose spirit continues to inspire our work and community. This year, we were once again deeply honored to welcome Ms. Moore’s daughter and extended family, who joined our vibrant community of older adults for a day of remembrance, connection, and celebration.
The event was filled with joyful energy — from heartfelt stories about Ms. Moore’s influence, to a day packed with music, dancing, raffles, delicious food, and laughter. It was a beautiful reminder of the strength of community and the power of legacy. Our members, staff, and guests came together in the truest spirit of love and fellowship to make the day unforgettable.
